We are reaching out to you today with a critical and urgent plea. Our respected coach’s 16-month-old daughter, Maveya Waleed, is fighting for her life against a severe congenital heart condition called Complex Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) with Pulmonary Atresia, VSD, and severe RVOT obstruction.
Simply put, Maveya was born with a major structural defect in her heart that severely restricts oxygenated blood from reaching her lungs and body.
Maveya has recently started experiencing dangerous cyanotic spells (sudden drops in blood oxygen levels that cause blue discoloration and weakness). Her doctors have emphasized that time is running out. To give Maveya a chance at a healthy life, she requires urgent full corrective cardiac surgery. Due to the anatomical complexity of her heart defect and long waiting lists at local facilities, specialists at the National Heart Institute (Institut Jantung Negara - IJN) in Malaysia, under leading Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Shiva Kumar, have reviewed her case and recommended immediate intervention under their direct supervision,
The total estimated cost for Maveya’s life-saving surgery, intensive care unit (ICU) stay, and essential post-operative recovery is PKR 17,000,000
