About GoFundMeNow

Why this exists

GoFundMe does not operate in Pakistan: it lists twenty supported countries and ours is not one, and its payment partners may refuse donations from here (GoFundMe: supported countries). Stripe and PayPal do not operate here either. What Pakistanis do have is a mobile wallet. GoFundMeNow is a small, independent platform built in Pakistan so that a person with a real need can raise money from the people around them, in rupees, through JazzCash and EasyPaisa.

GoFundMeNow is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to GoFundMe in any way. The similar name is a coincidence we now regret, and we say so plainly wherever it might mislead.

Who runs it

A two-person founding team based in Pakistan. We are adding our names, photographs and profiles to this page; until then, every message to info@gofundmenow.pk reaches one of us directly. GoFundMeNow is not yet incorporated as a company; a registered entity name, number and address will be published here as soon as they exist, and until they do we ask you to weigh that honestly against the established charities in our platform comparison.

What we do

  • Every fundraiser is created as a draft, submitted for review by its organiser, and read by an administrator before it can accept a single rupee. That review is a person checking that the story is plausible and complete. It is not an audit, and it does not independently verify a diagnosis, a cost or a document.
  • Donations are taken in rupees through JazzCash and EasyPaisa, processed by RapidGateway, a Pakistani payment gateway. A donation is counted only when the gateway confirms it.
  • Organisers withdraw to a Pakistani bank account, or to a hospital’s or institution’s account if they choose, after an administrator reviews each withdrawal request.
  • Organisers post updates; donors can comment and give anonymously, and anyone can report a concern by email (the Trust & Safety page explains how).

What is not finished

  • Card payments are switched off, so donors outside Pakistan cannot give directly yet.
  • Our fee schedule, refund window, minimum withdrawal and payout timeline are not yet published. Any fee that applies is shown at checkout before a donor confirms. The Help page states the current position.
  • Our Terms and Privacy pages are drafts pending legal review; both say so at the top.
  • There is no phone line yet. Email is answered by a founder.

How to judge us

Read the Trust & Safety page for exactly what we check and what we cannot guarantee. Read a fundraiser’s documents and updates before you give, give an amount you are comfortable treating as a gift, and tell us at info@gofundmenow.pk if anything on this site looks wrong.
