Crowdfunding platforms in Pakistan, compared

Updated 5 September 2026. Facts checked against the sources listed below.

Most "best crowdfunding sites in Pakistan" lists mix up three different things: charities that raise money for their own programmes, platforms where any individual can start a campaign, and international sites that cannot actually pay a Pakistani account. This page separates them and states, for each, what its own website said when we checked. Where a platform publishes no fee, we say so rather than guess.

We run one of the platforms below, so read this as a competitor’s summary of public facts, with a link for every claim, and check the sources yourself. Last checked 4 September 2026.

Platforms where an individual can start their own fundraiser

Three names that still appear in search results were not usable when we checked: GoGetFunding’s own Pakistan page says it no longer accepts fundraisers from Pakistan, GiveCase’s homepage said it was not currently accepting donations, and the fundme.pk domain did not resolve at all. InspireMe.Fund’s "Pakistan" page showed Canadian and American campaigns and no Pakistani payment method.

Charities that raise for their own programmes (you cannot start a campaign)

These organisations are often listed as "crowdfunding platforms", but they choose the beneficiaries themselves. That is a strength if you are a donor looking for a vetted cause, and irrelevant if you are trying to raise money for your own family.

  • Transparent Hands (Lahore) registers patients itself and, according to its own donor guide, disburses funds directly to hospitals; it publishes audit reports for every year from 2015 to 2025 and shows an SECP licence number in its footer. Its how-it-works page describes a donor flow, not an organiser flow (Transparent Hands: how it works, audit reports, donor guide).
  • Seed Out (Lahore) funds interest-free micro-loans and scholarships for people it has screened in person, states a 0% platform fee and a tax-exempt status, and publishes each disbursement on the beneficiary’s page (Seed Out: how it works, safety and security).
  • Alkhidmat, The Citizens Foundation and Zindagi Trust run peer-to-peer pages where you raise money for the charity’s own work, not for a personal cause (Alkhidmat fundraising, TCF fundraising, Zindagi Trust fundraising).
  • Edhi, Chhipa and Saylani are welfare charities that take donations for their own services. Edhi and Chhipa publish audit reports and payment instructions; Edhi’s homepage also lists fake look-alike domains to avoid (Edhi: reports and transparency, Chhipa: how to donate).

International platforms that cannot pay a Pakistani organiser

GoFundMe supports twenty countries and Pakistan is not one of them; Kickstarter and Indiegogo exclude Pakistan as a creator country; Stripe and PayPal do not operate here; Facebook charity fundraisers are limited to charities in four countries. The GoFundMe in Pakistan guide quotes each of those pages.

Milaap, which often appears in search results, serves India only.

How to judge any platform, including this one

  • Does it say who runs it? A registered entity name and number, a physical address, and named people. Many sites, ours included today, are weaker here than the established charities. We say what we have and do not have on our About page.
  • Does it publish its fees, with a worked example in rupees? gohelpme.pk does; most do not.
  • Can the money reach the person who needs it, in Pakistan, without a relative abroad? Check the payout section, not the homepage.
  • What does "verified" mean on that site? On GoFundMeNow a review is a human check for plausibility before a fundraiser goes live; it is not an audit and not a guarantee. Our Trust & Safety page spells out what is and is not checked.
  • Can you follow the money after you give? Look for organiser updates, published bills, or payouts made directly to a hospital or institution.

Questions people ask

Which crowdfunding platforms in Pakistan let me start my own campaign?

When we checked in September 2026: GoFundMeNow (this site) and gohelpme.pk accept campaigns from individuals in Pakistan with local payment methods. LaunchGood accepts campaigns from Pakistan but pays out abroad in foreign currency, and GoGetFunding’s own Pakistan page says it no longer accepts fundraisers from Pakistan. Transparent Hands, Seed Out, Alkhidmat and similar organisations choose their own beneficiaries.

Is there a free crowdfunding platform in Pakistan?

gohelpme.pk states Rs 0 to create a campaign with a 1.5% to 3.5% bank charge per donation. LaunchGood states a 0% platform fee plus card processing, but pays out in dollars by wire. GoFundMeNow has not published its fee schedule yet; any fee is shown at checkout before a donor confirms.

Which platform is the most trusted?

Nobody can answer that for you, and we do not claim it for ourselves. The charities with years of audited accounts, such as Transparent Hands and Edhi, have the longest public track record. For a personal fundraiser on any open platform, the trust comes from the organiser: documents, a real cost breakdown, updates, and someone you know vouching for them.
